Report Launch

06 May 2022

Accelerating technology changes and intense market competition have brought immense commercial pressure on the solar industry. In absence of clear technical standards and certification regime, -Balance of Systems (BOS) components, including transformers, junction boxes, cables, mounting structures, module cleaning systems, earthing and lightning systems bear most of the brunt of cost cutting. It has been shown by several studies that faulty BOS equipment selection and installation, accounting for around 40% of solar project cost, has a disproportionate impact on power output. BRIDGE TO INDIA, in partnership with International Copper Association, has launched a report titled Technical Standards for BOS in Solar Projects. A recording of the launch session features a presentation by BRIDGE TO INDIA on key findings of the report and a panel discussion comprising Dr. Arun K. Trivedi (Adviser, MNRE), Mr. Rajneesh Shrotriya (CTO, Sterling & Wilson), Mr. Gaurav Wadhwa (Head of Design Engineering, ReNew Power) and Mr. Nataraja MS (Head of Technology, Sungrow).
