India Renewable Power CEO Survey | 2020

The survey provides a sector-wide glimpse into the minds of renewable power leaders on industry outlook, capacity addition over the next 5 years, operational challenges, the government’s performance as well as ranking of states in ‘ease of doing business.’ This survey includes responses from 40 leading CEOs across the renewable power value chain and geographies.

Total expected renewable power capacity addition in the next 5 years is 60 GW with utility scale solar accounting for almost two-thirds share.

 

Expected RE capacity addition in the next 5 years

Most players are expecting tariffs to come down over the years. Solar power is expected to maintain its cost advantage over wind power with a difference of about INR 0.50/ kWh.
