India is estimated to have added total solar power capacity of 2,755 MW in Q4 2022, a decline of 17% over preceding quarter. Capacity addition was split 79:15:6 between utility scale, rooftop solar and off-grid solar at 2,166 MW, 428 MW and 161 MW respectively. Capacity addition for CY 2022 is estimated at 15,041 MW, up 50% YOY. A key highlight of the year was record open access capacity addition of 3,449 MW, which grew 296% YOY.
