India Solar Map | December 2021

India Solar Map 2021 is an infographic report that provides a state-wise break up of utility scale solar commissioned and pipeline capacity. It also shows other interesting details such as annual capacity additions, leading market players, trends in project development bidding, and project completion timelines.

Total utility scale solar commissioned capacity reached 41,724 MW on 31 December 2021. Capacity addition rose significantly as COVID restrictions eased this year. 7,190 W of utility scale solar was added in the year, up 174% from 2,617 MW in 2020. Total project pipeline stood at 44,575 MW on 31 December 2021.
