India Corporate Renewable Brief | Q3 2021

Total corporate renewable power capacity increased by 481 MW in Q3 2021 to reach 18,962 MW. Capacity addition in the quarter was split 1:3 between open access solar and rooftop solar. Total open access solar, open access wind and rooftop solar capacity is estimated at 4,716 MW, 7,647 MW and 6,582 MW respectively.

Installation activity gathered pace 45% QOQ as Covid induced restrictions eased across the country. However, growth remains restricted due to rise in project costs and constrained module supply.
