India Solar Rooftop Market Analytics


Total rooftop solar capacity is estimated to have reached 7,701 MW by end of June 2021. New installations totalled 1,748 MW in the 12 month period to June 2021, 53% increase YOY, with residential segment showing the fastest growth (28% share).

Getting access to reliable granular information in rooftop solar is extremely difficult. We have been compiling market data with help from over 350 market participants over last seven years and have built an extensive database comprising 35,571 installations with an aggregate capacity of 3,997 MW.
