India PV Module Intelligence Brief – Q1 2022

This report captures quarterly trends in module demand and supply, import and domestic production volumes, supplier market shares, break-up by technology and rating, pricing trends across the value chain and key international developments.

Total module demand during Q1 2022 is estimated at 6,313 MW, split 64:21:13:2 amongst utility scale, open access, rooftop solar and off grid markets respectively. There was an 86% QOQ spike in import volume to 9,384 MW in advance of BCD imposition from April 2022. Total domestic cell and module production volume during the quarter is estimated at only 1,693 MW and 626 MW respectively.
